Pity starting a blog wasn’t on my bucket list, but here’s to trying something new anyway…

It’s funny the things in life that make us nervous.  Fear creeps in and it’s so easy to stop us right in our tracks. It doesn’t really matter what it is, whether it is going to the dentist, driving in traffic, walking into a pub on your own or as it is has been for me, starting this blog. To say I have been ridiculously nervous about “going public” is an understatement!   I have never had any interest in blogging and quite frankly I have no idea what I’m doing!  

But three years ago, when I finally committed to doing something about climbing Kili, I had a vision of what I wanted to do in my head but I had no idea how exactly I was going to do it. Yesterday, 8 days after I began to create this page, I took the plunge and shared it with the world. Well, as much of the world as I could! The delightful slices of feedback that you my friends and followers jot down in an email to me spur me on. I got my fourth official follower last night. In the big scheme of things, where other bloggers have thousands of followers, this might not seem like much, but in my world it is cause for huge celebration and a happy dance commenced!

I still don’t know what I’m doing but I’m doing it anyway and I look forward to taking you on this journey of the unknown with me.  I hope I may inspire, entertain and make your day that little bit brighter.
