This post is inspired by what a friend said on Facebook last night. Too often people try to change who we are, they try to mold us into what they think we should be ~ to make them feel more comfortable. But something life has taught me over the years is that you shouldn’t shrink back because others feel uncomfortable in your presence. Marianne Williamson said it best “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine.”
Shame on those who tell you to change. Shame on those who can’t celebrate all the beauty that makes up who you are. Just the way you are. Shame on those who shrink back to make others feel comfortable.
You have got to leave your imprint on life.
Live bold.
Dress loud.
Create madly.
Cultivate flair.
Enrich life.
Be unconventional.
Design your life unreservedly.
Live the life you were born to live.
