“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile. The power of a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring. All of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ~ Leo Buscaglia
Be gentle with those around you.
For we don’t always know what is going on in another’s life.
I’m in the process of making another big decision.
(I’ve had to make so many this year)
It’s hard to know what is the right thing to do.
I wish the answer could be given to me on a big silver platter.
But we know that is not how life works.
I’ve been meditating a lot.
Going within.
Quieting the mind.
Feeling my deepest desires.
Knowing the answer will come.
And as I work through this process.
The answer is making itself know.
But still
Making the final decision itself is hard.
Through this whole process
There is someone in my office who no matter what, is always gentle.
Just today this person and I were corresponding via email.
At the bottom of one of the emails this person, who had seen me earlier in the morning, added this:
“PS!!! You are looking so beautiful today”
It was a simple, thoughtful comment.
And it made all the difference to how I feel today.
When I woke up this morning
I didn’t feel particularly beautiful.
And I didn’t feel particularly happy.
Yet somehow, those words gave me hope.
In some strange kind of way.
That I am being perfectly guided.
And the right decision will be made when the time comes.
So be gentle with the souls around you.
And the gifts you give.
We are all fighting our own battles.
Even if not visible on the surface.
And sometimes a simple gesture.
Can make all the difference.
~ Wishing you all a wonderful ChooseDay where you shower those around you with gentle love ~
~ This afternoon I’m off to the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Clinic at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Apparently today is quite a big day and there are going to be lots of children there. I’m so excited that I’m going to be meeting the faces of those currently living with CF and those wonderful givers in doctors and nurses who tirelessly help take care of these amazing, courageous CF fighters ~
If you would like to make a donation towards my fundraising for those courageously fighting the CF battle please click on this link. Payment is simple and easy and can be done from anywhere in the world.
