D-Day has finally arrived. Last night I had the best sleep I’ve had since I’ve left. But that was probably due to the fact last night I got to sleep with a soft, white, snuggly duvet.
Yesterday, driving to our final destination, while some slept I couldn’t for a moment close my eyes. Endless mountains and driving through a never-ending canyon, my eyes wanted to take it all in. My eyes feasted on some of the most beautiful pieces of earth I have ever seen. I am so blessed and grateful to be on this journey!
Today, I start Walking4Air for all those living with Cystic Fibrosis and I walk in memory of my best friend Emma, who through her own courageous fight with this disease, taught me how to live.
I have never been more excited and scared for what lies ahead of all of us.
In a few minutes we’ll be joining our team for breakfast and then at 9:30am Argentinian time we’ll be heading out.
It’s an absolutely beautiful today to begin the journey of a lifetime.
See you all on the other side of the mountain.
As we toasted at dinner two nights ago, here’s to safety and success!
